Heh, old news!! Robin and Cala's heads were *just now*
unswelling.

I was just in time then - they should not "unswell" for many *many*
moons!!

I know when WE win The Incredible Dog Challenge (or AKC Nationals etc),
I intend to be quite obnoxious for YEARS about it! ;->

And as I obviously havn't been keeping up, I didn't know aout Viva's
career-ending injury. I'm so sorry Robin. SheBop stays home when we go
train and trial, and it breaks my heart still. But you know in the
great scheme of things, they are actually pretty lucky dogs.

Besides, living under the "old dog house rules" is a fittingly humbling
experience for the rest of us, too ;-> Especially when we have swelled
heads (Gris-Gris had a sweet Nov JWW run of 99 yards in 17.6 seconds
last week-end. SheBop put her on her back the moment she walked in the
door then stole the toy she won and hasn't let her touch it since ;->)

Congrats again and again and again for as long as you want to gloat ;->

Although I had seen the video on the 'puter, this is the first time I had
seen it on TV. And got to hear what Robin had to say.

This is kind of unusual for us, but DH and I watched the entire thing (he
normally starts making noise 5 minutes into such shows), and a large part of
it involved the 'shorts controversy'. He was *all* for Ali doing whatever
she needed to do to make herself comfortable.

Oh no! There it goes again! What am I going to do! It's so big it might
roll off on the floor at our trial this weekend!

Seriously, thanks. I guess we all get our 15 minutes of fame, and I
couldn't be happier that mine was really not mine at all, but Cala's.
She's just a great dog.

Viva still gets to go, because I take my dogs with me everywhere--being
single it's not like I can leave them at home. And yes, it's sad and I
wish things were different. But she's still my heart dog, my second
half. And is kicking butt in Rally.

Hmph. I still say that entering a cross between a dobe and a bendy
straw is CHEATING.

Good for you - and her! SheBop stays home with suckerdady and revels in
being an only dog. I just find it strange how DH gets these wierd
cravings for things like vienna sausages and sardines while I'm out of
town...

And yes, my little pocket rocket seriously hauls butt. Of course, that
has it's drawbacks - the next day she didn't just knock A bar - she
knocked *every single* bar in the pinwheel - but damn the torpedoes,
full steam ahead!! ;-> Running her (or rather, trying to keep up with
her) might be the death of me, but like the old farts who die during
sex but go out with a smile on their face, if I die on an agility
course, what a way to go, huh?

<And is kicking butt in Rally.>

You GO Viva! I should do that with SheBop, but where do you find the
time? Even at obedience trials and matches I get so caught up (I'm
getting Shammie ready for utility) that I have not even *watched* rally
enough to really understand what's going on. It looks awfully fun
though. I can certainly see it in my future!! I have to say I'm amazed
at it's popularity. Who'da thunk there'd be *crowds* at an obedience
trial??

I'm sure we'll cross paths someday at an agility trial now that I'm an
addict - Donna's back and living in a FEMA trailer (her house was
devastated) and so is starting to trial with us again. Lessee,
furtherest north I think I'll get this season is Shreveport... ?
